All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ CLINTON CLYDE BARDEN Funeral services for Clinton Clyde Barden, 76, retired Nansemond County farmer, who died at his home Friday morning, February 22, were conducted at 3 p.m. on Sunday in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home, Rev. R.P. Ellis, pastor of South Quay Baptist Church, and Rev. Edwin C. Thornton, pastor of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, officiated. Mr. Barden was the husband of Mrs. Emma March Barden and the son of the late James and Carolyn Cross Barden*. He was a member of South Quay Baptist Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Blannie Barden Daughtrey, and two sons, Clinton Clyde Barden, Jr., and James Barden, all of Franklin; nine grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Burial was in the South Quay Baptist Church Cemetery and active pallbearers were Robert March, Jr., Herbert Davidson, Henry Rountree, Alfred Johnson, Jr., J.C. Davidson, Jr., Milton Apperson, Fred Morgan and Terrance Barden.
