Kate Brothers, of Suffolk, Stricken With Paralysis, From Which She Died. WAS AN ESTIMABLE CHRISTIAN LADY. Suffolk, Va., Nov. 13. - (Special.) - The death of Mrs. E. Kate Brothers, at 12:15 o'clock this morning, was a great shock to the community. Mrs. Brothers was supposed to be in excellent health, was well yesterday, ate heartily and went calling last night. She returned from her social visit about 10 o'clock and retired to her bed-room. At 10:30 she was attacked with a severe ease of paralysis, or more accurately, cerebral hemorrhages, and within less than two hours dissolution occurred. When first attacked she requested that a physician be summoned and immediately lapsed into unconsciousness, from which she never rallied. Drs. J.M. Gibson and J.E. Phillips were attending physicians and applied all known restoratives, but without permanent effect. The deceased, who was 51 years of age, was a relict of the late Daniel Brothers and leaves six step-children, as follows: Mrs. George L. Borum, Misses Mary and Maggie Brothers, Daniel, Beverly and Louis Brothers. She was an estimable Christian lady of extended friendship. The funeral services will take place at 11 o'clock to-morrow morning from the Christian Church, of which she was a member. Rev. H.H. Butler will officiate. ****************************************************************************** LAID QUIETLY TO REST The Funeral of the Lamented Mrs. Kate Brothers in Suffolk Yesterday.
