The deceased was sixty- seven years old, and had been in declining health for a good while, but not until last Monday night did anyone think the end was so near at hand. She was taken ill with hemorrhages, from the effects of which she sank rapidly, despite the best medical skill and careful nursing. She was a kind and affectionate companion, a loving mother, and a true Christian, having for years been a member of Cypress Chapel Christian Church. She leaves an aged husband and six children. Her funeral took place at 2 o’clock this afternoon, at the family residence, the services being conducted by Rev. H.H. Butler in the presence of a large number of friends of the deceased. The interment was in the family burying ground, on the farm, the following gentlemen being pallbearers: J.A. Browne, W.E. Brinkley, Samuel Wilkins, W.H. Brinkley, Frank Parker and Jackson Brinkley.
