All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ BESSIE BROWN Suffolk, Jan. 19 - Miss Bessie Brown, aged 29, formerly of Suffolk and for the past year in Catawba Sanitarium, died today at Catawba, after a long illness. She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. J.N. Eure, of Suffolk, R.F.D.; Mrs. Horace King, of Drum Hill, N.C., and Mrs. Joe Minton, of Norfolk, and two brothers, J. B. Brown, of Portsmouth, and E. M. Brown, of Roduco, N.C. Miss Brown was an active member of Main Street Methodist Church and when in Suffolk was a member of Mrs. E.W. Graham’s Sunday School class. The body will be brought of Suffolk, arriving Monday morning, and will be taken to the funeral parlors of I.O. Hill & Co. Funeral services will be held at the grave in the family cemetery near Roduco Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, by the Rev. Dr. W.W. Staley. The funeral procession will leave the I.O. Hill Funeral Parlors Monday afternoon at 1 o’clock.
