McKINLEY BROWN BURIED IN NANSEMOND CO. Mrs. Elsie Odell Brown 34, died Sunday morning in the Obici Hospital, Suffolk following a short illness. A native of Nansemond County, she had lived in Isle of Wight County for about ten years. She was a member of the Cypress Chapel Christian Church. She is survived by her husband, McKinley Brown, five sisters, Mrs. J.L. Byrd, Nansemond County, Mrs. S.E. Copeland, Waverly; Mrs. Mack Nelms, Mrs. H.P. Stone and Mrs. A.F. Martin, all of Norfolk, three brothers, W.A. Harrell and Frederick Harrell both of Norfolk; and Louis S. Harrell, New York City. Funeral services were held on Tuesday January 31, 1956 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Bullock Funeral Home, with burial in the Liberty Springs Church Cemetery in Nansemond County.
