GERTRUDE GAST BROWN 

  SUFFOLK - Mrs. Gertrude Gast Brown, 81, 120 St. James Ave., died Wednesday 
in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital.

  A native of Fayette County, W. Va., she was a member of Suffolk Christian 
Church.

  Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Herrick; and two grandchildren.

  A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Cedar Hill 
Cemetery by the Rev. Dr. Robert B. Marr.

  The family will receive friends at her residence.

  The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions 
to the Nansemond-Suffolk Rescue Squad, or the Suffolk Christian Church organ 
fund.

  R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home is in charge.
