Byrum Dies Unexpectedly James Lee Byrum, 48, died unexpectedly Thursday at 10:15 p.m. at his home, Route 1, Suffolk. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 4 p.m. at Liberty Spring Christian Church by the Rev. Raymond H. Phelts, pastor, and the Rev. R.E. Brittle, pastor of Bethlehem Christian Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be taken from the Hill Funeral Home to the church Monday at 2:30 p.m. to lie in state one hour before funeral services. A native of Chowan County, N.C., he was a member of Liberty Spring Christian Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pattie Perry Byrum; two daughters, Miss Barbara Ann Byrum and Miss Betty Sue Byrum, all of the home; three sons, James Lee Byrum, Jr., USA, stationed in Texas, and Joseph Thomas Byrum & Bobby Perry Byrum of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Barlie Brinkley, of Sunbury, N.C., and Mrs. Lucille Smith of Holland; and two brothers, Willie Byrum and Elton Byrum of Corapeake, N.C. ****************************************************************************** Rites Monday For James Lee Byrum Funeral services for James Lee Byrum, who died Friday, will be conducted Monday at 4 p.m. at Liberty Spring Christian Church by the Rev.
