Hill and Company Funeral Home by the Rev. R.E. Brittle, pastor of Bethlehem Christian Church. Mrs. A.E. Byrum and Mrs. George Byrum accompanied by Mrs. Webb Pinner sang, "Beyond the Sunset" and Mrs. George Byrum, sang a solo "Does Jesus Care." The pall was of pink roses, blue delphinium, yellow snapdragons, pink carnations and baby’s breath. Burial was in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers were Johnnie McCarter, William Babb, Windell Layton, and Henry Scott. Peggy Sue BYRUM, daughter of Willie Henry and Dorothy Louise (HOLLAND) BYRUM, Nansemond Co. native, d. 10 Mar 1956, Suffolk, age 2, interred in Holly Lawn Cemetery*, Suffolk, donated obit, publication unknown Her father is also buried there.
