HENRY BRINKLEY Suffolk, Va., Aug. 31. - J. Henry Brinkley, a venerable citizen of the county residing near Cypress chapel, died this morning at the home of his sister, Mrs. Jane R. Shepherd, on Chestnut street, at 1:30 o'clock, aged 71 years and 11 months. The funeral service will be held at his late home Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock by Dr. W.W. Staley. He is survived by a widow and three sons, one of whom is J.W. Brinkley of Nurney. The pall-bearers will be Jethro Byrd. T.J. Ellis, Riddick Jones, David Duke, A.L. Harrell, Tobe Henderson, J.J. Brinkley and J.R. Ellison. The interment will be in the family cemetery.
