All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ JESSE MORTON BRINKLEY PROMINENT NANSEMOND FARMER SUCCUMBS IN HOME ON WHITE MARSH ROAD Jesse Morton Brinkley, prominent resident of Nansemond County died this morning at 9:15 o’clock at his residence on the White Marsh Road, after a long illness, aged 69 years. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Diana O. Brinkley, and two daughters, Mrs. George Austin of Portsmouth; Mrs. W.F. Raines of Nansemond County; J. Hugh Brinkley, Marvin Brinkley and Jack Brinkley, of Nansemond County; one brother J.J. Brinkley of Plymouth, N.C.; two sisters, Mrs. C.W. Hanbury of Norfolk, and Miss Margaret J. Brinkley, of Suffolk; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the I. O. Hill & Company funeral home, 447 West Washington Street. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
