MATTIE BRANCH DIES AT PORTSMOUTH Mrs. Mattie Branch, age 73 years, died in King's Daughters Hospital in Portsmouth Wednesday night at 8:30 o'clock after a long illness. She was the widow of the late James W. Branch, and is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Mary Craig, and Mrs. L.L. Rayfield, of Portsmouth, Va., Mrs. Nannie West of Norfolk and many nieces and nephews. The body was brought to Suffolk to the funeral parlors of I.O. Hill & Company. Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Suffolk Christian Church of attendance. The convention will by the Rev. H.S. Hardcastle and the Rev. I.W. Johnson, and Rev. D.E. Hill, of Portsmouth. Interment will be made in Cedar Hill Cemetery. "Mattie" Martha Elizabeth (Mrs. James W.)
