MARY ELIZABETH CARR BRINKLEY 

Carr [sic; Brinkley] Rites Held at Christian Church 

  Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Carr [sic; Brinkley] were conducted 
at the Suffolk Christian Church at 11 a.m. today by the Rev. R.E. Brittle. 
The church choir sang "Asleep in Jesus" and "Abide With Me."  The minister 
read "Crossing the Bar." 

  Pallbearers were Erskine Watkins, Emmett Hewlett, M.M. Watkins, Clarence 
Booker, C.C. Clark and Edgar Eubank.  Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery.  The 
casket cover was of white and lavender asters and Easter lilies.

Her husband was Suffolk Chief of Police & City Sergeant.  He was shot fatally
