PRETLOW MURPHY BRINKLEY

   Pretlow Murphy Brinkley, 62, of 214 Clay St. died Friday afternoon in a 
hospital.

   A native of Suffolk, he was a son of I.P. and Mrs. Ruth Murphy Brinkley and 
the husband of Mrs. Judith W. Brinkley

   He was a member of Suffolk Christian Church and chairman of Suffolk Board 
of Assessors.

    He was the owner-operator of Nansemond Seed Co., for 45 years.

   Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters; Mrs. Carol Brashear of 
Princeton, N.J. and Miss Jane Brinkley of Suffolk; and two grandchildren.

   A funeral service will be held today at 4:30 p.m. in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
