SARAH E. BRINKLEY Suffolk, Va, March 11 - At the residence of her son, Fairlee Brinkley "Beechwell Farm", this morning at 3 o'clock, Mrs. Sarah E. Brinkley died in the 70th year of her age. Mrs. Brinkley was the widow of Parker [sic; Parke] Brinkley and was one of the best known citizens of the county. She is survived by one son, Fairlee Brinkley of the county, and two daughters, Mrs. B.W. Ashburn of Newport News, Va.; and Mrs. Jessie E. Harrell of Norfolk, Va.; seven grandchildren, three boys and four girls. The funeral services will be conducted at the Liberty Spring Christian Church by the Rev. I.W. Johnson, pastor of the church, assisted by Rev. Dr. W.W. Staley, pastor of the Suffolk Christian Church. Mrs. Sarah Brinkley was a member of Great Fork Baptist Church, having been connected with that Church for more than half a century. The pallbearers will be, Active: - C.E. Harrell, E.B. Rawles, W.A. Ellis, P.S. Harrell, P.T. Byrd, J.W. Rabey, A.J. Johnson and J.R. Holland. Honorary - Elkanah Harrell, John T. Rawles, A.H. Savage, J.S. Peele, A. T. Harrell, Y.C. Byrd, J.F. Rawles, B.P. Baker. The interment will be made in the family cemetery.
