VENITA* HINES BARNES 

  Venita Hines Barnes, 95, of the 900 block of MacArthur Drive, died 
April 13, 1990, in a nursing home.

  Mrs. Barnes, a native of Abingdon, Va., was the widow of Bill J. 
Barnes. She was a member of Suffolk Christian Church.

  Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

  The graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in Holly 
Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Robert B. Marr.  Friends may join the family 
from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday in R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home.  Memorial 
donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
