[sic; T.] BRYANT Suffolk, Va., April 17. - Edward J. Bryant, a well-known citizen of Suffolk, died yesterday morning at his home, on Washington and Pinner streets, at 5:30 o'clock, in the 64th year of his age. He is survived by a widow, who was Miss Phelps, six sons and three daughters-James H. Bryant, Benjamin J. Bryant, Edward T. Bryant, Jr., H.P. Bryant, W.A. Bryant, I.L. Bryant; three daughters, Mrs. W.T. Jones, Mrs. J. W. Scott and Miss Rosa Bryant; one brother, John Bryant, of Berkley; and a sister, Mrs. James Daughtrey, of Berkley, and his aged mother, Mrs. Anne Bryant, of Berkley. Mr. Bryant was familiar with Lake Drummond and was a fisherman of note in this section. He was popular with lovers of hunting and fishing and was widely known among sportsmen. The funeral services will be conducted as the residence Friday afternoon at four o'clock by Rev. R.M. Maxey, assisted by Dr. W.W. Staley and Rev. R.A. McFarland. The body will be interred in Cedar Hill cemetery.
