BRANDON SERVICES HELD Conducted At Methodist Church Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Gobbel Brandon, who died Friday night at the home of her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Walter G. Gobbel, were conducted at 3:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the Main Street Methodist Church by Rev. John Blakemore, pastor. The casket was covered with a pall of white chrysanthemums and red carnations, and active pallbearers were Dr. G.G. Overholt and E.H. Lane, Jr., of Alta Vista, Dr. W.T. Gay, Dr. J. Parker Cross, William Birdsong, A.I. Hines, Jr., Floyd Benton, Dr. O.R. Yates, E.V. Welch and W.S. Cross, Jr. Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Among the out-of-town relatives and friends who came to the services were Dr. and Mrs. Luther Gobbel and Miss Rachel Gobbel, of Greensboro, N.C.; Mr. and Mrs. Temple Gobbel, of Chapel Hill, N.C.; J.H. Gobbel, of Spencer, N.C.; Mr. and Mrs. D.C. Young, of Salisbury, N.C.; Mr. and Mrs. P.L. Massey, of High Point, N.C.; Mrs. Hargrave Howell, of Goldsboro, N.C.; Commander and Mrs. J.E. Whitener, of Washington, D.C.; Miss Sara Ellen Whitener, of Washington, D.C.; Mrs. H.M. McElrath, William and John MeElrath, of Macon, Ga. Mrs. Lee Huntsman and Mrs. Landon Hagey, of Bristol; Mr. and Mrs. Lucius McElrath, of Portsmouth; Mrs. Hugh McElrath, of Sandersville, Ga.; Dr. and Mrs. E.C.
