SIMEON BRYANT 

       OCTENARIAN DEAD. 

  Simeon Bryant died today at the home of his adopted son, John Bryant, near 
Driver, Va., 79 years old.  The funeral will take place from Beech Grove 
Methodist church and the burial will be in Cedar Hill, Suffolk.  The deceased 
was a Union veteran, but had been a resident of Virginia for many years, and 
for a long time served as commissioner of revenue in district No. 2, of 
Nansemond county.

  Suffolk, Va., Sept. 10. - (Special.) - [...] 

       BURIED IN SUFFOLK. 

  The funeral of the late Simeon Bryant took place at 11 o'clock this morning 
from Beech Grove Methodist church, near Driver, Va.  The services were 
conducted by Rev. J.W. Nicholson. 

  The burial was in Cedar Hill cemetery, Suffolk, about 2 o'clock.  These were 
pallbearers: R.H. Beamon, J.D. Taylor, R. Williamson, A.G. Darden, J.O. 
Lancaster, George T. Rawles, F.M. Pierce and J.T. Harris.
