JESSE W. COPELAND

   Suffolk, July 21 - Jesse W. Copeland, 74, well-known resident of Box Elder, 
Nansemond County, died at 8 o’clock this morning, following a brief illness.

   Surviving him are three daughters, Mrs. W.B. Holland, of Holland; Mrs. L.M. 
Felton, of Richmond; Miss Mamie Copeland, of Smithfield; two sons, Henry 
Copeland, of Carrsville; seventeen grandchildren and one great-grandchild; a 
sister, Mrs. Alice Byrd, of Holland, and a number of nieces and nephews.

   Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon at 4 o’clock at the grave 
in the family cemetery near Box Elder, and will be conducted by the Rev. W.H. 
Corbitt and the Rev. N.G. Newman.
