COPELAND DIES EARLY TODAY Prominent Farmer of Box Elder Section To Be Buried Sunday John R. Copeland, aged 79, a prominent farmer of Nansemond county, died at his home near Box Elder this morning at 5:25 o'clock, after an illness of several weeks. He is survived by one brother, James H. Copeland, of Franklin and several nieces and nephews, among them, Miss Alice Rawles with whom he made his home. The body was taken to the I. Hill and Company funeral home where it will remain until 2:15 o'clock Sunday afternoon, when the funeral procession will leave for Liberty Spring church, where funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock, conducted by Dr. I.W. Johnson assisted by Dr. N.G. Newman. Mr. Copeland was an active member and a deacon in the Liberty Spring Christian church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
