    LITTLE CLAUDE GILBERT [sic; CALLAHAN] 

  Suffolk, Feb. 24. - Claude Callahan, son of Mrs. Ada [sic; Ida] Gilbert of 
York street, died this morning at 1 o'clock, age 8 years.  The body will be 
taken over the Southern Railway Sunday to Forest City, N.C., for interment, 
accompanied by the step-father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. L.W. Gilbert.

   FUNERAL AT FOREST CITY 

  Suffolk, Feb. 25. - The body of Claude Callahan, 8-year-old son of Mrs. Ada 
Gilbert, was taken last night over the Southern Railway to Forest City, N.C., 
for interment.  L.W. Gilbert, the child's stepfather, and Mrs. Gilbert 
accompanied the remains.  The funeral services were held at the residence on 
York street Saturday afternoon.

Presumably buried with his father (1885 - 1909) in Cool Springs Cemetery, 
   Forest City.  Find a Grave Memorial #73238908 [no grave photo], 

D.Cert. 4268 (Suffolk #132) 

His step-father Louis Wilmer GILBERT was shot in the heart 26 Sep 1921 locking 
   up his grocery in South Suffolk.  An account appeared in the "Richmond 
   Times-Dispatch," Sep. 27, 1921, p. 1. 

His mother 3m. William Wegton FRITZINGER 3 Feb 1917 (Suffolk #19). 
   They are buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Richmond.
