Rites Tomorrow For D. C. Clements 

  Mr. Dennis C. Clements, 57, a native of Greensville County, Va., for the 
past 37 years, a resident of Nansemond County, died at a local hospital at 
five o'clock Saturday afternoon after a short illness. 

  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carrie Tudor Clements, three sons, Nat W. 
Clements of Nansemond County, C. Linwood Clements of Virginia Beach and 
Sherwood Carpenter of Nansemond County, two daughters, Mrs. Ward R. Mathews 
of Eclipse, Va., and Miss Audrey Clements of Nansemond County, seven 
grandchildren, two brothers, Eugene Clements of Dundas, Va., Fred Clements 
of Nansemond County, five sisters, Mrs. Ella Weaver of Emporia, Mrs. Kate 
Weaver of Nansemond County, Mrs. Fitzhugh Gray of Hopewell, Mrs. Laura Story 
of Hopewell, Mrs. Annie Norwood of Emporia and several nieces and nephews. 

  Funeral services will be held Monday at three o'clock at the R.W. Baker and 
Co. Funeral Home, by the Rev. R.E. Brittle and the Rev. Starke Jett.

   are buried in Oak Grove Methodist Church Cemetery, Gaston, Northampton Co., 
   NC. 

The 1900 Census - Hicksford Dist., Greensville Co. - gives b. Jun 1893.
