Cohoon Henry Peebles Cohoon, 36, field supervisor for the Virginia Electric and Power Co., died at Boykins, Va., Saturday at 6:30 p.m. The son of Mrs. Sue Urquhart Cohoon, he is survived by his widow, Mrs. Leland [sic; Leolyn] Curling Cohoon, and a daughter, Margaret. Three brothers are living, Claude Cohoon, Jr., of Brunswick, Ga., William and George Cohoon, of Suffolk. Henry Urquhart and Paul T. Cohoon, of Suffolk, are surviving uncles. The body was taken to the R.W. Baker and Company Funeral Home where services will be conducted at 5 p.m. today by the Rev. Jack Gray, of Franklin. Active pallbearers will be Lewis T. Cohoon, Woodville Holton, Carlton Curling, George Badran, James Sadler, James Knolle, Elmer Godfrey, Edward Stephenson, James Mayo, and P.G. Everett, Jr. Members of the Virginia Electric and Power Company staff will act as honorary pallbearers. ****************************************************************************** HENRY P. COHOON Henry P. Cohoon, aged 36, a member of a prominent Suffolk family died Saturday evening, July 11, about 6:30 p.m. in Boykins after a brief illness. He had been connected with the Virginia Electric and Power Company and has been stationed in Suffolk for the past few months, before which time he was located in Boykins. At the time of his death he was relieving N.E. Stephenson of Boykins, who was away on his vacation. Mrs. Cohoon was with him in Boykins at the time of his death, and accompanied the body to Suffolk Saturday night. He was the son of Mrs. Sue Urquhart and the late Claude C. Cohoon of Suffolk. Surviving him besides his mother are his widow, Mrs. Leolyn Curling Cohoon, a daughter, Margaret Cohoon, all of Suffolk, and three brothers, George and William Cohoon of Suffolk, and Claude Cohoon of Brunswick, Georgia. Funeral services were held in Suffolk Monday evening at 5:00 p.m., conducted by Rev. John A. Gray.
