Cones Funeral Held Yesterday 

  Funeral services for Miss Hilah Cones, who died Wednesday morning at a 
Lynchburg hospital, were held yesterday afternoon at the Hill Funeral Home. 
Dr. John G. Truitt officiated at the services. 

  Dr. Truitt read the hymn "It Singeth Low In Every Heart" and Tennyson's 
poem "Crossing the Bar." 

  The pall was of white chrysanthemums and pink carnations.  Pallbearers were 
Horace Coste, Roland Dale, S.L. Lafoon, McKinley Adolphus, J.H. Redd, Junie 
Babb and R.F. Bailey. 

  Burial followed in the Bethlehem Church Cemetery.

D.Cert. 24913 (Elon #101) gives d. 16 Nov 1948, age 41, 10 months, 24 days; 
   inmate of the VA State Epileptic Colony 25 years, 10 months, 14 days; 
   buried Suffolk by "O.S." [sic; I.O.] Hill Funeral Home.
