Mrs. S. A. Council Buried Monday 

  Mrs. Sally A. Council, 72, died at her residence near Battery Park Saturday 
morning at 6 o'clock.  She is survived by four sons, O.B., I.B., L.M. and C.S. 
Council; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Beale and Mrs. Allen Beale, of Southampton 
County, and a number of nieces and nephews. 

  Funeral services were conducted Monday at the grave, in Cedar Hill cemetery, 
Suffolk, at 3 PM by the Rev. L.F. Paulette, pastor of the Smithfield Baptist 
Church.

   19 Jan 1898.  (Southampton Co. MB9:305) 

The 1880 Census - Jerusalem Dist., So.Co. - gives age 8. 

The 1900 Census - Jerusalem Dist., So.Co. - gives b. Jan 1877. 

The family appears in the 1930 Census on Farm #20, Blackwater - Courtland Rd., 
   Jerusalem Dist., So.Co.; it gives George, age 59, & Sallie, 57.
