DAVID CARR

   Suffolk - Funeral services were held today in the  I.O. Hill Funeral Home for 
David Carr, age 12, of Myrtle. He died Sunday in the Louise Obici Memorial 
Hospital from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was the son of 
Peggy and Winston Carr and a native of Portsmouth.

   In 1960, he was credited with saving the life of a young companion who had 
fallen into a well. David held him by one foot until his father came to help him 
out.

   Besides his mother and father, he is survived by one brother, Robert Craig 
Carr, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Hazel A. Webster of Virginia Beach.
