All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ JENNIE LEE WILLIAMS CROSS Suffolk - Jennie Lee Williams Cross, 91, of 5932 Everets Road, a native of Nansemond County and the widow of Harry Lee Cross, died Monday in a hospital. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church, the Constantia chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, Suffolk Garden Club, Colonial Dames, Sans Souci Literary Club, Junto Woman’s Club, the Suffolk-Nansemond Historical Society and the Suffolk Art League. Survivors include four daughters, Martha C. Fawcett of Virginia Beach, Elma C. Duke and Betty C. Pretlow, both of Suffolk, and Jennie C. Kalie of Laurel, Md.; a son, Harry Lee Cross, Jr. of Suffolk; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph C. Webb and Mrs. J. Marvin Whitley, both of Suffolk; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great- grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 3:30 p.m. today in R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home by the Revs. Edwin Cleaver and Randall C. Blankenship. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will be at the residence. Memorial donations may be sent to the memorial fund of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church or Main Street United Methodist Church.
