JOHN CROSS SR. 

  John Thomas Cross, Sr., 86, of Holland Road, died at 10:15 Friday in a 
Peninsula Hospital.  He was the husband of the late Grace Wright Cross and 
the son of Elisha T. and Mrs. Anna Jenkins Cross, of Nansemond County. 

  Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Garland Holland of Nansemond County; one 
son, John Thomas Cross, of Nansemond County and one sister, Mrs. Eunice 
Rountree of Nansemond County.  He has six grandchildren and one great 
grandchild. 

  Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday at I.O. Hill's Funeral Home 
with the Rev. Jerry D. Odom and Rev. R.A. [sic; R.E.] Brittle officiating. 
Burial will be in the Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery.
