ANNIE MARGARET BAINES CARTER 

MRS. HALLET CARTER, DIES OF INJURIES FROM AUTO WRECK 

  Mrs. Hallet Carter, aged 25, of Carrsville, died en route to a Suffolk 
hospital late on the afternoon of December 17th from injuries she suffered 
when the car in which she was riding with her husband and one being operated 
by Earl V. Edwards, of Richmond skidded and collided on a curve on the ice-
covered highway three miles east of Holland.

  Mrs. Carter, who was thrown clear of the coupe, died of a fractured skull. 
She was a native of Gatesville, N.C., where her parents now live.

  Mr. Carter was taken to Lakeview Hospital, where he is reported to be in a 
critical condition of internal injuries.  Mr. Edwards who was not seriously 
hurt was recognized for his appearance pending further investigation of the 
fatal accident.

  According to State Trooper Bryant, the Carters were traveling toward 
Carrsville while Mr. Edwards was headed toward Suffolk.  The accident 
occurred about 5 o'clock.

Her husband remarried; he is buried in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring,
