Carter Funeral services for Lermon F. Carter, 58, who died yesterday afternoon at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Willie E. Holland, 307 Morgan Street, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 at the I.O. Hill and Company Funeral Home. The Rev. Julian Hopkins, pastor of the Main Street Baptist Church, will conduct the services. Burial will follow in the family Cemetery near Holland. Mr. Carter was the son of the late James Henry and Rebecca Harrell Carter, of Gates County, N.C. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eunice Copeland Carter, of Suffolk; and, besides Mrs. Holland, by two other daughters, Mrs. Houston E. Powell, of Washington, D.C., and Miss Joanne Carter, of Suffolk, and one step-daughter, Miss Christine Palmer, also of Suffolk; two sons, T-Sgt. George L. Carter, USAF, stationed at Briggs Field, Texas, and Sgt. Marvin E. Carter, USAF, stationed at Perrins Field, Texas; a step-son, Eugene Palmer, of Suffolk; two sisters, Mrs. L.L. Jernigan, of Nansemond County, and Mrs. P.R. Umphlette of Suffolk, and two grandchildren. He was a member of Suffolk Christian Church.
