Davidson Charles Edward Davidson, 56, of 2697 Lake Cohoon Rd., died Tuesday in York, Pa. He was a native of Lexington, husband of Mrs. Sally Robeson Davidson and son of the late William Effie Davidson and Georgie Stratton Davidson. He was territory manager for International Harvester where he worked for the past 30 years. He was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church, James L. McLemore Bible Class, Board of Ushers and former member of the Administrative Board and former Committeeman for Boy Scout Troop 1. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Besides his widow he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. William C. Barnhill Jr. of Gates, N.C.; one son, Charles Edward Davidson Jr. of Suffolk and one brother, Dr. James H. Davidson of Durham, N.C. A funeral service will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in Main Street United Methodist Church by the Rev. William R. Withers with burial in Holly Lawn Cemetery. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the Nansemond-Suffolk Rescue Squad or the Main Street Methodist Church special memorial fund. The family will be at his home.
