She was the widow of Thomas Hall Debnam and a daughter of Fenton Finley and Mrs. California Leo Worrell Ferguson. She was a member of Main Street Methodist Church and its L.M. Lee Bible Class and Circle 6. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. H. Blackwell Cross Jr. of Suffolk; three sons, Lt. Col. Thomas F. Debnam of Charleston, S.C., Fred Archer Debnam of Wilmington, N.C., and Joseph H. (Bill) Debnam of Suffolk; three stepsons, Harry Debnam of St. Petersburg, Fla., George Debnam of Baltimore, and John Butner of Washington; a brother, Walter of Ferguson of Murfreesboro, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in I.O. Hill & Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. John Teter. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. "Josie" Josephine Lee (FERGUSON; Mrs. Thomas H.)
