DUESBY Departed this life, the 11th of March, in the 47th year of her age, Mrs. Eliza C. Duesby, the daughter of Mrs. Sarah Latham, dec'd, of Norfolk. In early life she was a recipient of saving grave, possessed of a meek and retiring spirit, with great buoyancy. Her heart was susceptible of the most sincere friendship, and she was strongly endeared to all, by her worthy deportment and virtuous example. She sustained a reputation of great usefulness in life; she had a strong mind. which was regulated by divine grace, and was enabled justly to appreciate the misfortunes of the distressed, and was ever true to the unfortunate! During her last protracted and painful illness, she was distinguished for patience, resignation and composure; and in the prospect of her approaching dissclation for months, she enjoyed the sustaining comforts of religion, and this heavenly principle within her breast essentially smoothed her passage to the tomb. She has left one sister and three devoted children, two daughters and one son, to lament a tender, affectionate mother and a valued friend. C.M. GODFREY. Mrs. Elizabeth C.
