DUMVILLE DIES AT 76 IN PENNA. Blue Ridge Summit, Pa. - Benjamin B. Dumville, 76, formerly of Suffolk, died this morning at his home in Blue Ridge Summit, Pa., where he has been a resident for eight years. He was the son of the late Benjamin and Frances Lawrence Dumville of Suffolk. A former employee at the Newport News Shipbuilding Drydock Company, he helped with the construction of the Panama Canal and during World War II he was the supervisor of construction of Landing Barges at Evansville, Ind. Later he was employed as supervisor of Liberty Ship construction at Long Beach, Calif. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Suffolk. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emma Grigg Curtis Dumville, of Blue Ridge Summit; one daughter, Mrs. John C. Ewers of Washington, D.C.; one son, Benjamin C. Dumville of Brooklyn and a step-son, Essex Griffin Dumville of Rockville Centre, L.I., N.Y.; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held tomorrow Monday, June 25 at 2 p.m. at the Riverside Funeral Home Chapel, Newport News. Interment will be in the Green Lawn Cemetery, Newport News. *"Dunville" in original corrected to Dumville throughout. Benjamin B.
