MARY DENNIS SUCCUMBS SUNDAY Funeral Set for 3:30 This Afternoon at Residence Mrs. Mary P. Dennis, 79, wife of the late Edward L. Dennis, died at her home, 328 Pinner street, Sunday morning at 1 o'clock, after an illness of several months. Surviving her are three sons, M.E. Dennis, of Franklin; William A. Dennis and W.J. Dennis, of Suffolk; one daughter, Mrs. L.W. Barrett, of Suffolk; seven grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. R.B. Darden, of Norfolk. Funeral services were held at the residence this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. H.J. Goodwin, D.D., pastor of the First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be four grandsons, Frank L. Barrett, Louis D. Barrett, Harold Dennis and Maurice E. Dennis, Jr., and Charles Powell, H.F. Johnson, W.W. Mumford [sic; Munford] and C.T. Early. ****************************************************************************** MRS. MARY P. DENNIS Mrs. Mary P. Dennis, 79, widow of the late Edward L. Dennis and mother of M.E. Dennis of this town, died at her home in Suffolk last Sunday morning following a prolonged illness. Besides Mr. Dennis in Franklin she is survived by two other sons, William A. Dennis and W.J. Dennis of Suffolk; a daughter, Mrs. L.W. Barrett of Suffolk; a sister, Mrs. R.B. Darden of Norfolk, and seven grandchildren. Services were conducted Monday afternoon from her residence on Pinner Street at 3:30 o'clock by Dr. H.J. Goodwin, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Suffolk. Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suffolk, with the following pallbearers: Frank L. and Louis D. Barrett, Harold and M.E. Dennis, Jr., grandsons, and Charles Powell, H.F. Johnson, W.W.
