Mr. Richard H.B. Denson, a highly respected and well-known citizen of Nansemond county, and who, a few years ago, lived in Portsmouth, killed himself at Chuckatuck on yesterday morning by blowing his brains out with a shotgun. When found he was in his stable yard, with his gun by his side. Temporary aberration of mind is supposed to have been the cause of the rash act. ****************************************************************************** Suicide. Richard H.B. Denson, a citizen of Nansemond county, killed himself Friday morning on the farm of his son-in-law, Dr. Butts, near the village of Chuckatuck. He was found in his stable-yard about half an hour after the occurrence, the load having taken effect in his brain and the gun lying at his side. Mr. Denson was for a time in business in Portsmouth, and been for many years a consistent member of the Methodist church. It is supposed that the act was committed in a moment of aberration of mind.
