RICHARD HENRY B. DENSON 

             Suicide. 

  Mr. Richard H.B. Denson, a highly respected and well-known citizen of 
Nansemond county, and who, a few years ago, lived in Portsmouth, killed 
himself at Chuckatuck on yesterday morning by blowing his brains out with 
a shotgun.  When found he was in his stable yard, with his gun by his side. 
Temporary aberration of mind is supposed to have been the cause of the rash 
act.

             Suicide. 

  Richard H.B. Denson, a citizen of Nansemond county, killed himself Friday 
morning on the farm of his son-in-law, Dr. Butts, near the village of 
Chuckatuck.  He was found in his stable-yard about half an hour after the 
occurrence, the load having taken effect in his brain and the gun lying at 
his side. 

  Mr. Denson was for a time in business in Portsmouth, and been for many years 
a consistent member of the Methodist church.  It is supposed that the act was 
committed in a moment of aberration of mind.
