All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ Rites Held For Mrs. Elma Draper Funeral services for Mrs. Elma Mae Nelson Draper, 63, who died at her home 325 York Street, Friday night after a short illness, were conducted yesterday at 2:30 at the I.O. Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. Julian S. Hopkins. A quartet composed of Mrs. Willard Mathews, Mrs. Vernon Spivey, Byron Cutchins and M.O. Spence, accompanied by Mrs. Webb Pinner, sang, "What a Friend We Have In Jesus," "Jesus Keep me Near the Cross," and "Safe In the Arms of Jeans." The pall was of lilies, white carnations, and red roses. Burial was in Cedar Hill cemetery. Pallbearers were J.W. Ward, Duke Ellis, Sol Wiggins, Otha Rountree, E.J. Sitterson, Wade Harrington, S.H. Hassen, and Willie Hawkins. Friends of the family served as honorary pallbearers.
