Darden Funeral Will Be Today 

  Funeral services for William Edward Darden Sr. of Norfolk, a native of 
Nansemond County, will be conducted today at 1 p.m. in the Hollomon-Brown 
Funeral Home, Norfolk, by the Rev. E. Erwin Moshier, pastor of First Baptist 
Church, Norfolk.  Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. 

  Mr. Darden, 78, used car sales manager of Perry Buick Company, died Friday 
at his home in Norfolk after a long illness. 

  He was the husband of Mrs. Gladys Brooks Darden. 

  A native of Nansemond County, he lived in Norfolk 48 years.  He worked for 
Perry Buick more than 25 years and was Used Car manager several years. 

  Besides has widow, he is survived by a son, William Edward Darden Jr. of 
Wilmington, Del.; a sister, Mrs J.E. Rich of Hampton; and two grandchildren, 
Stanley M. Darden and Miss Stacey T. Darden of Wilmington.

   widow.
