Everett of Holy Neck district, and prominently connected throughout the county, died this afternoon at 2:40 o’clock at the home of her son Seth Edward Everett, age 73 years. Mrs. Everett had been an invalid for a number of years, and had been confined to her bed for the past several months. She was a member of many years of Holy Neck Christian church, and was a woman of many graces of character. Mrs. Everett is survived by a son, S.E. Everett, Commonwealth’s attorney of Nansemond county; a daughter, Mrs. W.J. Kendrick, both of this city, and a step-son, Paul L. Everett of Holland, Va.; two brothers, George T. Rawls of Lower Parish and Hugh Rawles of Waycross, Ga., and a half sister, Miss Kate Rawles of Rocky Mount, N.C., and 11 grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at the Christian church Monday afternoon at 5 o’clock by Rev. Dr. W.W. Staley, assisted by several pastors of the city and county. The interment will be in Cedar Hill cemetery. The honorary pall-bearers will be friends of the deceased in her former home in Holy Neck district and in other sections of the county. They will be W.Q. Peele, Dr. J.G. Holland, Robert Reidel, W.J. Holland, W.L. Lee, E.S. Norfleet, W.H. Norfleet, R.C. Norfleet, B.D. Jones, Z.T. Langston, John Norfleet, Jesse Byrd, I.A. Luke, Lemuel Rawles, B.J.
