BERNICE WAVERLY EDWARDS 

  A funeral service for Bernice Waverly Edwards, who died Monday, was 
conducted Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home 
by the Rev. B.J. Willett and Dr. R.E. Brittle.

  Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Edison Evans, 
William J. Powell, Arthur Wilkins, Curtis Walters, T.J. Roberson, J.W. 
Lassiter, J.M. Dailey and Jordan Gardner.


Bernice Waverly EDWARDS, Navy veteran of WW-II, 
Nansemond Co. native, d. 4 Aug 1980, Norfolk, age 71, 
interred in Cedar Hill Cemetery (Block Y, Lot 14*), Suffolk, 6 Aug 1980, 
"The Suffolk (VA) News-Herald," Aug. 7, 1980, p. 2
