Jackson Eley Dies Here at 81 Thomas Jackson Eley, 81, died at 1 o'clock this morning in a local hospital following an illness of several weeks. He was the son of the late Richard and Elizabeth Eley, of Myrtle and for 35 years was bookkeeper for E.L. Folk Hardware Company. Survivors include a son, Leland F. Eley, of Philadelphia, Pa.; a daughter, Mrs. Ernestine Parker, of Suffolk; two grandchildren, Jack and Bobby McCabes, of Suffolk; two brothers, Robert Lee Eley of Myrtle and W.H. Eley of Suffolk; two sisters, Mrs. S.M. Nelms, of Windsor and Mrs. Mollie Horton, of Whaleyville, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Eley was a member of the First Baptist Church. Services will be held at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Baker Funeral Home. Burial will he in Cedar Hill Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** Rites Held For Thomas J. Eley Last rites for Thomas Jackson Eley, who died Monday at a local hospital following a short illness, were held yesterday afternoon at the R.W. Baker Funeral Home. Dr. S.T. Habel officiated. The pall was of white carnations and pink roses. During the service Mrs. Helen Whitley played "In the Garden." Pallbearers were George Hudgins, M.L. Bowden, Hugh C. Davies, H.T. Walker, P.M. Burton, George Smith, T. Myrick and Joseph Spivey, Sr. Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
