Eley, who died last night at his home, near Myrtle, will be held at the residence tomorrow at 3 o’clock. Mr. Eley has lived in Nansemond all of his life, and was widely known in this section. Besides his widow, Mrs. Rowena Eley; four sons, R.G. Eley, of Windsor; B.C. Eley, of the county; T.C. and W.C. Eley of Port Norfolk; five daughters, Misses Jennie and Ophelia Eley, Mrs. F.L. Butler, Mrs. W.W. Boothe, and Mrs. John B. Archer, of the county; four brothers, R.L. Eley, J.F. Eley, of the county, and Jackson and Hatcher Eley, of Suffolk; and four sisters, Mrs. Frank Ashburn, of the county; Mrs. S.W. Nelms, and Mrs. George Johnson, of Norfolk, and Mrs. Charley Horton, of Whaleyville, survive. He is also survived by a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
