ELLIS Funeral services for Duke Edward Ellis, who died Sunday were conducted yesterday at 2:30 p.m. at the I.O. Hill and Company Funeral Home by the Rev. R. E. Brittle, pastor of Bethlehem Christian Church, and the Rev. Harold C. Leake, pastor of the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Suffolk. James P. Jernigan, accompanied by Mrs. Webb Pinner sang, "Beyond the Sunset", and a quartet composed of Mills Luter, Paul Parker, Jessie Mizelle and Harvey Harrell sang, "The Beautiful Land". The pall was of calla lilies, red carnations, and white snapdragons. Burial was in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers were Thomas Oliver, George Lewis Ellis, Earl Taylor, John Barnes, Jr., Alton Jones, Jr., W.H. Britton, Ernest Sitterson and Grover Welborn.
