Service held Friday for Mrs. Ellis 

  SUFFOLK - Mrs. Georgia Thomas Ellis, 66, retired business school operator, 
died Tuesday at 2 a.m. in her home at 108½ St. James Ave. 

  She was the wife of W.P. Ellis and a daughter of George Watson and Mrs. 
Isadora Beale Thomas of Isle of Wight County. 

  She was active in the American Legion Auxiliary more than 30 years.  Her 
last post was secretary-elect, and in previous years she served in most 
offices and committees of the organization. 

  Mrs. Ellis formerly was an instructor and operator of a business school in 
Suffolk for many years.  She was a graduate of a Lynchburg business college. 

  Surviving besides her husband, are a daughter, Mrs. Frances Ellis 
Hollingsworth of Roanoke; a brother, Herman S. Thomas of Norfolk; and two 
granddaughters. 

  A funeral service was conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in Suffolk Christian 
Church by the Rev. Robert B. Marr.  Burial was in Holly Lawn Cemetery.
