Willie Alfred Ellis Rites Today, 3 P. M. 

  Funeral services for Willie Alfred Ellis, a resident of Nansemond County, 
who died Thursday night in the Norfolk General Hospital, will be held this 
afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Liberty Spring Congregational Christian Church. 

  Officiating ministers will be Dr. Jesse H. Dollar, pastor, and Dr. I.W. 
Johnson.  Burial will take place in the church cemetery. 

  The body will remain at the R.W. Baker and Company Funeral Home until 2 p.m. 
at which time it will be taken to the church.

b. 26 Jul 1874, Nansemond Co., d. 18 Mar 1954, Norfolk,

His father was a Confederate veteran, having served as a private in Co. I, 
   24th VA Cavalry.
