ELAM Chase City, April 2 - Miss Alma M. Elam, daughter of the late Captain Robert S. Elam, CSA and Mrs. Martha Robertson Elam, died here Wednesday at the home of a sister, Mrs. Charles M. Boswell. Funeral ties will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Mrs. Boswell’s residence here, with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suffolk. Surviving are her sister; a niece, Mrs. Luther Williams, of Chicago, and three nephews, Robert L. Boswell and Robert Kilby Elam, both of Richmond, and Charles M. Boswell, Jr., of Bearsville, N.Y. Alma May ELAM, Nansemond Co. native, d. 31 Mar 1948, Chase City, age 70, interred in Cedar Hill Cemetery (Block D, Lot 59*), Suffolk, donated obit, publiction unknown *Her parents are buried in the same lot.
