FOSTER, 50, NANSEMOND ASST. CLERK Suffolk - Mrs. Frances Elliott Foster, 50, died Sunday at 2:30 a.m. in Norfolk General Hospital after a short illness. Mrs. Foster, wife of T.C. Foster of 103 Park Road, had been employed for several years as assistant to Nansemond County Clerk John Henry Powell, and was in charge of auto license sales. She was a native of Crewe. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Thomas Elliott and Charles Steven Foster of Suffolk; her mother, Mrs. J.H. Elliott of Crewe; four sisters, Mrs. Dewey Davis of Russell, Ky., Mrs. Sam Roberts and Mrs. Charles Clay of Crewe, and Mrs. W.A. Tillman of Lackland Air Force Base, Tex.; and three brothers, Thurman Elliott of Crewe, James Elliot of Van Nuys, Calif., and Maurice Elliott of Staunton. A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in Baker Funeral Home by the Rev. J.C. Weaver of Oxford Methodist Church of which she was a member. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery.
