(Bob) Floyd, Sr., 51, son of Mrs. Sarah Waters Floyd, of Fairmont, N.C., died tonight at his residence, 223 Oakdale Terrace. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Whitely Floyd, of Suffolk; three sons, Murdock E. Floyd Jr., Arthur Wallace Floyd, and Walter Francis Floyd, all of Suffolk; five sisters, Mrs. Dewey B. Leggett, Mrs. Elbert Hardin, Mrs. Horace Atkinson, Mrs. Carloes Sealey, all of Fairmont, N.C., and Mrs. E.E. Swartz, of San Diego, Calif; two brothers A.S. Floyd, of Lakeview, S.C., and Brooks I. Floyd, of San Francisco, Calif., and a number of nieces and nephews. He had been Suffolk manager of the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co., since 1938. He was affiliated with the Oxford Methodist Church, member of the Suffolk Elks Lodge 685, Kiwanis Club, Cosmopolitan Club, and a member of the Board of Directors of that club; member of the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, the TPA, Lodge 340 AF and AM, Davis Hunt Club of Sebrell, Va., and the P.D. Hunt Club of the State of North Carolina. The body was taken to the R.W. Baker Funeral Home pending arrangements. Murdock E.
