Rites Tomorrow For B.F. Fowler 

  Funeral services for Benjamin F. Fowler, 76, father of Mrs. A.T. Wright of 
Suffolk, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Baker Funeral 
Home. 

  The Rev. D.N. Vore and Dr. Luther Grice will conduct the services, followed 
by burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery. 

  Mr. Fowler died yesterday morning at 2 o'clock at the home of another 
daughter, Mrs. A.T. Holland of near Holland. 

  Survivors include a third daughter, Mrs. A.H. Glover of Clifton Forge, 
Virginia; four sons, O.B., B.J. and Melvin T. Fowler, all of Holland, and 
Raymond T. Fowler of Portsmouth; 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; 
a sister, Mrs. Annie Everett of Gates County, N.C.; several nieces and 
nephews. 

  He was a member of the Suffolk Christian Church, and the son of the late 
Thomas and Frances Collins Fowler of Nansemond County.

D.Cert. 6941 (Holy Neck Dist.) gives son of Thomas & Frances (COLLINS) FOWLER; 
   the informant was his son Oscar Bright FOWLER. 

His first wife, Mamie Ophelia (HOWELL) FOWLER (1879 - 1928), 
   is buried unmarked in a HOLLAND family cemetery on Trumpet Dr. 
   Nansemond Co. Miscellaneous Cemeteries, Vol. 2 (NV-II-11),

They m. 21 Jan 1897.  The Nansemond Co. M.Reg. {BVS copy, p. 268 #7} 
   gives his parents as William & Mary FOWLER. 

His second wife, Mary Cornelia (BABB HOWELL PARKER) FOWLER (1881 - 1976), is 
   buried in Holland Municipal Cemetery, as are her parents & first & second
