Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. R.T. Grissom, pastor of Holy Neck Christian Church, and the Rev. R.E. Brittle, pastor of Bethlehem Christian Church. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery with military rites at the graveside. A native of Nansemond County, he was an employee of the Virginia Department of Highways, Suffolk branch. He was a member of Holy Neck Christian Church and the Men's Bible Class of the church and was a World War II veteran. He was the son of the late Benjamin F. and Mamie O. Howell Fowler of Nansemond County. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lelia M. Fowler of the home; a daughter, Miss Martha Dean Fowler of Hampton; two sons, Bobby H. Fowler of Newport News and Ronald O. Fowler of Holland; two sisters, Mrs. A.T. Holland of Holland, and Mrs. Mary B. Wright of Newport News; three brothers, B.J. Fowler of Alexandria and O.B. Fowler and M.L. Fowler of Holland.
